Job summary

Wipro Infrastructure Engineering is seeking a Diploma/Graduate in Mechanical Engineering with a strong CNC background to join our manufacturing team. The role involves programming and proving on Fanuc and Siemens controls, setting up machines, and generating work instructions for operators.

You will work on turning centers, HMCs and VMCs, apply Lean methods, analyze tolerances, tooling and fixtures, and collaborate with manufacturing and quality engineers to ensure efficient processes and

Qualifications

• Must have significant programming and set-up experience
• Hands on experience on CNC turning centers and machining centers (HMC/VMC)
• Good knowledge of tolerance analysis and metrology
• Tooling, fixtures, and process planning for precision parts

Responsibilities

• Determines process design concepts and selects fundamental technologies for new or improved products.
• Analyzes engineering drawings, material requirements, and process specifications.
• Responsible for programming and machining function within the organization and at supplier places.
• Manages technicians and machine operators in the design, development and implementation of machine tool programs, test methods, tooling, manufacturing methods, and documentation.
• Solves problems, implements changes and monitors progress.
• Applies Lean manufacturing methodologies to processes and shop floor transactions.
• Collaborates with manufacturing and quality engineers for design transfer and operations readiness of new products.
• Ensures compliance with ISO and OSHA regulations.

Technical Profile:

• Determines correct process design concepts and selects best fundamental technologies for both developing new products and improving or modifying existing ones.
• Analyzes engineering drawings, material requirements, and process specifications.
• Responsible for programming and machining function within the organization and at supplier places.
• Manages technicians and machine operators in the design, development and implementation of machine tool programs, test methods, tooling, manufacturing methods, and manufacturing documentation.
• Solves problems, implements changes and continuously monitors progress.
• Considers Lean manufacturing methodologies for manufacturing processes and shop floor transactions.
• Works directly with manufacturing and quality engineers in the design transfer and operations readiness of new products and manufacturing processes.
• Maintains compliance to all local and Regulatory agencies including but not limited to ISO and OSHA.
• Must be experienced with tolerance analysis, machining, tooling, production fixtures, metals processing, metals finishing, metrology.
• Hands on Experience on CNC turning centers, Machining centers (both HMC&VMC), Grinders and acquainted CNC systems like Siemens, Fanuc, etc. Individually capable enough to set the machines and prove the components for the quality and cycle time.
• Tool planning, process planning , Cycle time estimation, best cutting tools selection for precision engineering drawings.
• Process capability evaluation
• Basic knowledge about the Machines like, machining accuracies, metal removal rates, power and torque requirements for the proposed operations.
• Good knowledge on Work holdings(Hydraulic and Pneumatic fixtures), Tooling for turning, Milling, Drilling and other precision Engineering activities.
• Auto Cad knowledge--- simple fixture elements design.
• Trouble shooting skill on the processes, tooling and Work holding.
