Job summary

Shashwath Solution is seeking a skilled VMC Programmer who will also function as Production Manager to oversee daily machining operations and lead a team on the shopfloor. The role requires technical programming expertise and strong leadership to drive production efficiency and discipline.

You will create precise 2D & 3D VMC programs using CAM software, design fixtures, select tools and parameters, plan sequences, and troubleshoot issues to ensure quality output as per drawings.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in a technical field is required.
• Minimum 3 years of VMC programming experience and production supervision.
• Strong knowledge of fixtures, tooling, cutting parameters, and machining operations.
• Good communication, leadership, and people-handling skills.

Responsibilities

• VMC Programming & Machining Operations: Create 2D & 3D VMC programs using CAM software; design fixtures; set tools, speeds, feeds; plan sequences; troubleshoot and optimize cycle time.
• Production Management: Act as Production In-Charge; allocate jobs; manage machine engagement; monitor efficiency and KPIs; reduce downtime.
• Team Handling & Workplace Discipline: Lead operators and helpers; ensure discipline and a positive environment; conduct training on safety and process improvements.
• Maintenance & Shopfloor Practices: Implement 5S; coordinate with maintenance for upkeep; ensure clean, organized, safe work area.

• We are looking for a skilled and responsible VMC Programmer who will also function as a Production Manager, overseeing daily machining operations, team handling, shopfloor discipline, and continuous improvement.
• The ideal candidate must have strong technical expertise in programming and machining, combined with leadership qualities to manage production efficiency and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. VMC Programming & Machining Operations

• Create precise 2D & 3D VMC programs using CAM software.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in VMC programming.
• Design machining fixtures, jigs, and setups.
• Select cutting tools, parameters, speeds, and feeds for efficient machining.
• Plan machining sequences and ensure quality output as per drawing specifications.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize cycle time.

2. Production Management

• Act as Production In-Charge, leading day-to-day production activities.
• Allocate jobs, manage machine engagement, and ensure optimal resource utilization.
• Reduce machine downtime through proactive planning and quick problem-solving.
• Monitor and improve production efficiency and output on a daily basis.
• Track production KPIs and maintain MIS reports.

3. Team Handling & Workplace Discipline

• Handle a team of machine operators and helpers.
• Ensure good behavior, work ethics, and discipline on the shopfloor.
• Maintain a positive and management-friendly work environment.
• Conduct training for operators on safety, process improvements, and machine handling.

4. Maintenance & Shopfloor Practices

• Implement and maintain 5S practices across the production area.
• Coordinate with maintenance team for machine upkeep.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Qualification: ITI / Diploma / Any relevant technical qualification.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years in VMC programming + experience in production supervision.
• Strong knowledge of fixtures, tooling, cutting parameters, machining operations.
• Good communication, leadership, and people-handling skills.
• High level of professionalism, ethical behavior, and long-term commitment.
