Role focuses on quality control, cost optimization, and continuous improvement, with collaboration across design, merchandising, and logistics teams. On-site, full-time position based in Kolkata.

Role Description

The Production Manager will oversee end-to-end production operations for ethnic wear and accessories, ensuring quality, timely delivery, and efficient use of resources. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, coordinating with artisans and suppliers, monitoring inventory of fabrics and materials, and supervising the workflow from sampling to final dispatch. The role involves implementing quality control processes, resolving production issues, optimizing costs, and maintaining clear communication with design, merchandising, and logistics teams. The Production Manager will also be responsible for documenting processes, tracking production metrics, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata.

Qualifications

• Strong production planning and coordination skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and workflow management in apparel or textiles.


• Experience with quality control and assurance, including inspection standards, defect tracking, and continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.


• Proficiency in vendor and artisan management, including sourcing, negotiating timelines and costs, and maintaining collaborative relationships.


• Inventory and materials management skills, including tracking stock levels, overseeing procurement, and minimizing wastage.


• Knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, and traditional Indian ethnic wear production techniques is highly beneficial.


• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and deadline-focused execution.


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate production teams in a diverse environment.


• Comfort with basic digital tools (spreadsheets, production tracking software, or ERP systems) for reporting and planning.


• Relevant experience in apparel manufacturing, textile production, or fashion industry; prior work with handcrafted or artisanal products is a plus.


• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Production Management, Textile Engineering, Fashion Technology, or a related field preferred.
