Job summary

Polymed is seeking an experienced Production Manager for its manufacturing facility in Haryana, India. The role oversees CNC, finishing, marking, cleaning and packing operations, driving output, quality, and cost targets while maintaining ISO 13485 and regulatory compliance.

You will lead capacity planning, ramp-ups for new products and facilities, and implement Lean and Kaizen initiatives. Strong MIS, costing, and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering is required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in production/operations is required.
• Experience with ISO 13485, MDR, and CDSCO-related quality systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct and review daily, weekly and monthly production across CNC, finishing, marking, cleaning and packing.
• Deliver output, OTD, yield, rejection and cost targets; own plant MIS and KPI reviews.
• Ensure all operations follow ISO 13485, MDR 2017/CDSCO and customer requirements; support audits (internal, notfied body, customer).
• Drive capacity planning, machine and manpower deployment, and new product / new facility ramp-up.
• Lead process improvement (Lean, 5S, OEE, SMED, Kaizen) and scrap/rework reduction
• Coordinate with R&D, QA, PPC, Stores and Maintenance for NPD transfers and change control.
• Build, mentor and appraise the production team; maintain discipline and safety culture.
• Own plant budget, capex proposals and utilities/consumables cost control.

Required Skills & Competencies

• We are looking for candidates with a B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering and at least 7 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates from the automobile industry will be preferred.
