Job summary

Tropicool Car Gadgets is seeking an experienced Production Planner to manage end-to-end production planning, shop-floor oversight, and continuous improvement in an automotive components setting.

The role focuses on achieving targets while maintaining quality, efficiency, and cost control. You will lead supervisors and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams to support new product launches and process enhancements.

Qualifications

• Experience in production planning, shop-floor management, and execution in manufacturing (prefer automotive components).
• Strong understanding of production processes, manpower planning, capacity utilization, and productivity improvements.
• Experience managing production lines, OEE, delivery, and cost targets.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement techniques.
• Ability to analyze production data, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams for NPD, product launches, and process improvements.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and team-management skills.
• Proficiency in production MIS, Excel, and manufacturing performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth, reliable, and efficient manufacturing operations to achieve production targets.
• Monitor and improve productivity, OEE, cycle time, and manufacturing costs.
• Identify and resolve production-related technical issues, manpower challenges, and operational bottlenecks.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, delivery schedules, workplace safety, and company procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and waste reduction.
• Coordinate with Quality, Stores, Purchase, Maintenance, and R&D teams for smooth operations and new product launches.
• Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of machines, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures in coordination with the Maintenance team.
• Monitor and reduce rejection, rework, scrap, and production losses.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly production MIS reports to Top Management.
• Lead, guide, and develop production supervisors, team leaders, and shop-floor operators.
