Job summary

JobItUs is seeking a Production Head to lead the complete production function at Waluj MIDC. You will drive production planning and execution, ensure adherence to SOPs and quality standards, coordinate cross-functionally, and implement Lean practices to achieve on-time delivery and cost efficiency.

The role requires extensive experience in electrical manufacturing, strong leadership, and a focus on continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

• 12–18 years in electrical production roles; senior leadership required.
• Minimum 5 years in Production Manager or Senior Production role.
• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical/Production/Industrial; knowledge of Lean and TPM.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control daily, weekly, and monthly production.
• Achieve targets per PPC plans and customer delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance and Dispatch; ensure SOPs and quality standards are followed.
• Drive 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement; reduce waste and defects.
• Ensure proper manpower deployment, shift planning, and cost control; maintain safety.

Production Head – Job Description

• Industry: Electrical Manufacturing (CT / PT)
• Location: Waluj MIDC, Chh Sambhaji Nagar

2. Job Purpose

To lead and manage the complete production function, ensuring achievement of production targets, quality standards, delivery schedules, productivity, cost efficiency, and safe working practices while continuously improving manufacturing processes.

3. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and control daily, weekly, and monthly production
• Achieve production targets as per PPC plans and customer delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with PPC, Quality, Purchase, Stores, Maintenance, and Dispatch
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machines, materials, and production
• Monitor production output, productivity, efficiency, rejection, rework, and
• Ensure production is carried out as per approved SOPs, work instructions, drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Identify bottlenecks and take corrective actions to improve production
• Reduce rejection, rework, scrap, material wastage, and production
• Ensure proper manpower planning, deployment, and shift
• Monitor absenteeism, overtime, manpower productivity, and labour
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process
• Ensure proper handling and availability of production materials in coordination with
• Coordinate with Maintenance for preventive maintenance and timely breakdown
• Ensure implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement
• Monitor production-related customer complaints and support Quality in corrective
• Ensure compliance with company Safety, Quality, Environmental, and statutory requirements.
• Promote safe working practices and ensure employees follow applicable ISO 45001

• Conduct regular production meetings and review performance against

4. Qualification

• E./B.Tech/Diploma in, Electrical, Production, Industrial, or related discipline.
• Additional qualification in Production Management / Operations Management will be an advantage.

5. Experience

• 12–18 years of relevant experience in Electricals

Minimum 5 years in a Production Manager / Senior Production leadership role.
