Job summary

Evitar Systems in Navi Mumbai, India, is seeking a Production Planning professional to manage multi-stage schedules across machining, engraving, inspection, and finishing. You will coordinate in-house and outsourced processes, monitor capacity and bottlenecks, and keep ERP-based plans accurate.

Ideal candidates hold BE/B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering with 3–5 years of experience in production planning, PPC, or production control, and strong MS Excel and MIS reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain multi-stage production schedules across machining, engraving, inspection, coating, finishing, and sub-assembly operations.
• Coordinate production activities across in-house and outsourced processes to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion.
• Monitor machine capacity, production schedules, cycle times, and bottlenecks and highlight potential delays proactively.
• Sequence and prioritize production activities based on customer requirements, material availability, machine capacity, and dispatch timelines.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Stores, and external vendors to ensure timely availability of materials and completion of outsourced processes.
• Track work orders, production progress, pending operations, and dispatch schedules and follow up on delays.
• Maintain and update ERP-based production/work orders and ensure planning data is accurate and up to date.
• Prepare MIS reports, production planning reports, and dashboards to track schedule adherence and production status.
• Support capacity planning and resource allocation based on production requirements and available machine capacity.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth movement of components between different stages of production.
• Assist in identifying production constraints, process delays, and capacity bottlenecks and support corrective actions.
• Maintain Gantt-based production plans and regularly update schedules based on actual production progress.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in Production Planning, PPC, or Production Control within a manufacturing/precision engineering environment.
• Hands-on experience in multi-stage production planning and scheduling.
• Good understanding of machine capacity, cycle times, production sequencing, and bottleneck management.
• Experience working with CNC/VMC machining or precision manufacturing processes will be preferred.
• Experience coordinating in-house and outsourced manufacturing processes.
• Working knowledge of ERP systems, MS Excel, MIS reporting, and Gantt-based planning tools.
• Good understanding of material planning, inventory coordination, vendor follow-ups, and dispatch planning.
• Strong coordination and follow-up skills with the ability to work closely with Production, Quality, Purchase, Stores, and Vendors.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple production schedules simultaneously.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
