Job summary

Grow More Consultants is seeking a Production Engineer in Kadi, Gujarat with 2+ years of experience in moulding processes. You will manage the moulding department, plan production schedules, and ensure efficient use of materials and equipment.

The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, leadership, and knowledge of lean manufacturing to maintain quality and minimize downtime. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering (CIPET preferred) is desired.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Production, or Plastics Engineering (CIPET preferred).
• 2+ years in manufacturing with injection moulding in non-toxic engineering plastics.
• Proficient in operating and troubleshooting injection moulding machines; knowledge of process optimization and lean manufacturing.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of the moulding department including production, processing, and tool maintenance.
• Plan and schedule manufacturing to meet delivery schedules and inventory levels.
• Ensure efficient use of materials, machines, moulds, and personnel.
• Perform mould setup and colour changes as required to meet demands.
• Troubleshoot mould processes and equipment to ensure quality and minimize downtime.
• Set process parameters to meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to moulding staff and operators.
• Lead in maintaining operational systems and controls for mould processing and maintenance.
• Ensure adherence to moulding procedures, policies, and work instructions.
• Train and develop moulding personnel on processes.
• Document, report, and maintain production information.
• Support new tool design and development.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. 1. Manage all operational activities of the moulding department, including production, processing, machine maintenance, and tool maintenance and repair.
2. 2. Plan and schedule the manufacturing of moulding products to meet expected delivery schedules and inventory levels.
3. 3. Ensure the efficient use of materials, machines, moulds, auxiliary equipment, and employees.
4. 4. Perform mould setup and colour changes as required to meet production demands.
5. 5. Troubleshoot mould processes, machines, and auxiliary equipment to ensure product quality and reduce downtime.
6. 6. Set moulding process parameters to meet dimensional and quality requirements.
7. 7. Provide technical assistance to moulding technicians and operators.
8. 8. Provide leadership in maintaining all operational systems and process controls associated with mould processing, mould maintenance, equipment maintenance, and repair.
9. 9. Ensure compliance with all molding-related procedures, policies, and work instructions.
10. 10. Train and develop moulding personnel related to the moulding process.
11. 11. Document, report, and maintain all critical production information.
12. 12. Support new tool design and development.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Production, or Plastics Engineering preferably CIPET Engineers
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly with injection moulding processes in nontoxic engineering plastics.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating and troubleshooting injection moulding machines, Strong understanding of process optimization techniques and lean manufacturing practices.
• Soft Skills: Leadership abilities with a focus on increasing team performance and production efficiency, a Problem-solving mindset, and a keen attention to detail.

Good to Have Qualifications

• Experience working with food-grade and nontoxic engineering plastics is preferred.
