Job summary

Career Builder Placement Services in India is seeking a Moulding Engineer with hands-on Injection Moulding experience to drive process optimisation and high-quality production. The role requires hands-on mould setup, parameter tuning, and continuous improvement on the shop floor.

The candidate will work with Quality, Maintenance, PPC and NPD teams, train operators, and ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards. CIPET qualification is mandatory; shop-floor experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Plastic Injection Moulding processes and materials.
• Experience with setting up moulds and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on shop-floor experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle injection moulding machines, mould setting, mould change and process parameters.
• Set and optimise temperature, pressure, speed, cooling time and cycle time.
• Troubleshoot moulding defects such as short moulding, sink marks, warpage, flash, burn marks and flow marks.
• Monitor mould performance and coordinate with the Tool Room/Mould Maintenance team.
• Ensure achievement of production targets, cycle time and quality standards.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Reduce rejection, scrap and machine downtime through continuous process improvement.
• Prepare and maintain process parameter sheets, production records and quality documentation.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC and NPD teams for smooth production.
• Train and guide operators and technicians on moulding processes and SOPs.
• Ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards.

• Relevant experience in Injection Moulding / Plastic Manufacturing preferred.
• Candidates with hands-on shop-floor experience will be given preference.
