Glen Industries Kolkata is seeking a Production Engineer with 3–5 years of experience in injection moulding to oversee processes, manage shifts, and drive quality improvements. The role includes reducing rejections, optimizing manpower allocation, and enhancing OEE while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
The candidate should hold a PG Diploma in Plastic Processing and Technology and be proficient with production management and quality control tools in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Injection Molding Process Knowledge:
Oversee the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of injection molding machines.
Ensure optimal process parameters are set to achieve high-quality production.
2. Shift Incharge:
Manage and supervise production activities during assigned shifts.
Ensure smooth shift transitions and continuity of operations.
3. Rejection Analysis:
Analyze rejection data to identify root causes of defects.
Develop and implement corrective actions to reduce rejection rates.
3. In-House Rejection Reduction:
Implement strategies to minimize in-house rejections and improve product quality.
Monitor and report on rejection trends and improvements.
4. Manpower Handling:
Manage and allocate manpower effectively to meet production targets.
Provide training and guidance to production staff on best practices and safety protocols.
5. Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE):
Monitor and analyze OEE to identify areas for improvement.
Implement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, reduce downtime, and increase productivity.
Post Graduate Diploma in Plastic Processing and Technology
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in production engineering within the injection moulding industry.
Strong knowledge of injection moulding processes and machinery.
Proven experience in managing shift operations and handling manpower.
Proficiency in using production management and quality control tools.
