Sr Engineer - Plastic Molding

Job summary

V-Guard is seeking an experienced Injection Moulding Engineer in Gujarat to lead parameter setting for routine and new moulds, coordinate production planning, and ensure timely maintenance of moulds and molding machines. You will also train operators, manage a team, and monitor hourly production performance across shifts.

The role demands 5–10 years in injection moulding, strong manufacturing knowledge, basic product design understanding, and cost negotiation skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-10 years of experience in injection moulding.
• Diploma Plastic Engineering / B.Tech or CIPET or equivalent
• Good knowledge in manufacturing technology
• Basic knowledge in product design and engineering
• Knowledge in plastic materials
• Costing and negotiation skills
• Good communication skills
• Manpower handling and team management
• Willing to travel

Responsibilities

• Set process parameters as per process sheets for routine moulds.
• Establish parameters for new moulds.
• In process trouble shooting.
• Coordinate with planning team for weekly/daily production plans
• Coordinate with RM stores for material issue & reconciliation.
• Hourly monitor of molding process
• Provide training to operators.
• Manpower handling & team management.
• Production reporting - shift wise.
• Coordinate with Tool room team for periodic maintenance of moulds/tools.
• Coordinate with Maintenance team for periodic maintenance of molding machines.
• Attend new mould design reviews & trials during development stage, at Toolmaker end.
• Audit the molding activities going on at vendor end for other Appliances products.
• Kaizen & 5S.
