Job summary

Embark is seeking a seasoned Business Analyst to elicit, clarify, and document business requirements for SaaS solutions in the banking domain. You will establish user stories, create backlog items, and prepare test strategies, working across cross-functional teams to map needs to out-of-the-box capabilities.

You will lead fit-gap analyses, define implementation deliverables, and drive functional and integration testing. Strong communication and enterprise banking knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years in Business Analysis or Functional consulting in Banking.
• Strong data analytical skills.
• Broad enterprise view of strategy and processes in banking.
• Exceptional communication at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across teams.
• Knowledge of cloud concepts and SaaS is a plus.

• Elicit, clarify, and document business requirements


• Strong ability to articulate key functional capabilities of SaaS solution suite


• Lead in fit-gap analysis exercise to assess business requirements and align them with out of the box capabilities and work closely with cross-functional teams to determine action plan to address gaps Confidential - Encrypted


• Establish user stories and backlog items, and prepare test specifications utilizing agile methodology


• Prepare key implementation deliverables business requirements documentation, functional specification document and test strategy document


• Organize and execute functional tests as well as integration tests within and across functional areas


• Articulate the solution as part of the enterprise from a business perspective


• Proven track record of delivering strategy and transformation engagements for global banking clients.


• Deep expertise in Retail, Corporate, or Commercial Banking.


• Experience in one or more of the following domains:

Requirements

• Must Have:


• Bachelor’s degree (relevant experience can alternatively be considered) in Computer Science, Finance, or related fields.


• 3+ years of experience in Business Analysis or Functional consulting in the Banking industry


• Data analytical skills; ability to analyze and triage new configuration requests on the client\'s application


• Broad, enterprise-wide view of the business and varying degrees of appreciation for strategy, processes, and capabilities, enabling technologies, and governance within the banking and financial services domain


• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization; this includes written and verbal communications as well as visualizations


• Team player, able to collaborate and work effectively at all levels of the organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus


• Goal-oriented, getting the job done in a positive, reliable, and inspiring manner


• Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities
