About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Analyst with a deep understanding of the banking domain to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, domain knowledge, and the ability to work closely with both business and technical teams.

Key Competencies & Skills:

• Technical:
  • Familiarity with banking software and systems (e.g., core banking systems, CRM tools, payments processing, Loan origination system, Loan management system,).
  • Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Excel, Jira and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of data analysis.
• Soft Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI):

• Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyse complex business problems and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of banking products and services, financial regulations, and industry best practices.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering:
  • Engage with stakeholders (business users, product owners, and management) to gather, analyse, and document business requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional and non-functional requirements for system enhancements or new projects in banking services (e.g., loans, payments, etc.).
  • Ensure clarity and alignment of requirements between business users and technical teams.
• Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for business users and internal/external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and managing expectations.
  • Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, highlight risks, and suggest mitigation strategies.
• Solution Design & Documentation:
  • Work with product teams, architects, and developers to design solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, user stories, and process flows.
• Process Improvement & Optimization:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, system automation, and operational efficiencies within the banking environment.
  • Propose and help implement solutions that enhance customer experience, improve operational processes, and increase profitability.
• Testing & Quality Assurance:
  • Work with the testing team to create test plans and ensure that the developed solutions meet business requirements.
  • Support the testing phase, assist in troubleshooting, and ensure that defects are addressed.
• Project Management Support:
  • Support project managers in coordinating project activities, monitoring timelines, and ensuring that deliverables are met.
  • Assist in the identification of project risks and provide solutions to mitigate them.
• Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure that the business requirements and solutions adhere to banking regulations and compliance standards.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services sector.
• Experience working on banking systems, digital banking platforms, payments, or similar banking products.

Education & Certification:

• Bachelor's degree, Finance, Information Technology, or related field. Masters degree preferred.
• Professional Certification (Consider as advantage):
  • CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis), or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Agile or Scrum certifications are a plus.
