Responsibilities

• Lead the complete product lifecycle from concept to commercialization.
• Develop project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate with Design, Development, Production, Quality, Purchase, Marketing, Sales, and suppliers.
• Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and customer requirements analysis.
• Drive cost optimization and value engineering while maintaining quality.
• Identify risks, prepare mitigation plans, and oversee validation and pilot production.
• Prepare specifications, BOMs, technical documents, launch plans, and manuals.
• Monitor KPIs, budgets, timelines, and product performance; report to senior management.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and mentor cross-functional teams.

Job description

Product Development & Lifecycle Management: Lead the complete product lifecycle from concept generation to product commercialization. Ensure new product development projects are completed within defined timelines while meeting customer expectations, quality standards, and business objectives.

Project Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation plans for all assigned product development projects. Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion of deliverables through effective project management practices.

Cross Functional Coordination: Coordinate with Design & Development, Production, Quality, Purchase, Marketing, Sales, Tool Room, and external suppliers to ensure seamless execution of product development activities and successful product launches.

Market Research & Product Strategy: Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, customer requirement analysis, and trend identification to support product innovation and portfolio expansion. Recommend new product opportunities based on market insights and business strategy

Cost Optimization & Value Engineering: Drive product cost optimization through value engineering, material selection, design improvements, supplier collaboration, and manufacturing process optimization while maintaining product quality and functionality.

Risk Management & Product Validation: Identify project risks, prepare mitigation plans, and conduct regular project reviews. Participate in design validation, product testing, DFMEA, PFMEA, prototype evaluation, and pilot production to ensure successful commercialization.

Product Documentation & Commercialization: Prepare and maintain product specifications, Bills of Materials (BOM), technical documents, project reports, launch plans, installation manuals, and product training material. Ensure all documentation is accurate and updated throughout the product lifecycle.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Monitor project KPIs, budgets, timelines, and product performance. Prepare MIS reports, project status updates, and presentations for senior management. Ensure project deliverables are achieved within approved timelines and budgets.

Continuous Improvement & Team Leadership: Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to product development processes, project management systems, and innovation practices. Mentor project team members and promote collaboration, accountability, and a customer-focused approach across cross-functional teams
