Role Summary:

The Assistant Manager Product Management shall support the Bath & Kitchen category in driving product lifecycle management. The role will be responsible for supporting new product development initiatives, coordinating product launch activities, ensuring cross-functional alignment, monitoring project execution, gathering market insights, managing product documentation, supporting supply readiness, and developing marketing and launch collateral to enable successful commercialization and category growth.

Roles and Responsibility:

Product Development & New Product Launches

• Support end-to-end execution of New Product Development (NPD) projects from ideation to commercialization.
• Coordinate Stage Gate deliverables and ensure timely closure of actions across functions.
• Track project milestones, risks, dependencies, and escalate delays to ensure successful launch execution.
• Work closely with Design, R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance and Supply Chain teams during product development.
• Assist in preparation of business cases, product requirement documents, product specifications and launch proposals.

Business Planning & Cross-functional Coordination

• Manage review schedules, documentation, meeting minutes and action trackers.
• Ensure readiness of deliverables for Gate Reviews as per organizational NPD process.
• Drive alignment among Procurement, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing and Sales teams for project execution.
• Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion of agreed actions.

Supply & Procurement Coordination

• Coordinate with Procurement teams for supplier onboarding, sourcing activities and supply readiness.
• Monitor material availability and support smooth transition from development to commercial production.
• Track critical components and support risk mitigation plans to avoid launch disruptions.

Market Intelligence & Customer Insights

• Conduct market visits to gather competitive intelligence, pricing benchmarks, product trends and customer insights.
• Analyze competitor offerings, product features, packaging, claims and positioning.
• Work with sales teams, channel partners and influencers to identify unmet customer needs and growth opportunities.
• Provide periodic market reports and recommendations to support category strategy.

Product Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain product technical documentation, specifications, drawings and approval records.
• Coordinate product testing, validation and certification activities.
• Ensure documentation related to quality, regulatory compliance and testing is updated and archived.
• Support creation and maintenance of product master data and product information records.

Packaging & Product Information Management

• Coordinate packaging development and packaging revisions in line with branding and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with Marketing, Packaging Development and Quality teams for packaging approvals and implementation.
• Ensure packaging artworks, labels and product information are accurate and updated.

Marketing Collateral & Launch Support

• Support development of brochures, product catalogues, sales presentations, training materials and digital assets.
• Coordinate launch readiness activities with Marketing and Sales teams.
• Facilitate product training modules for internal stakeholders and channel partners.
• Assist in preparation of launch communication and commercialization plans.

Product Lifecycle Management

• Monitor product performance post-launch and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Support SKU rationalization, product upgrades and value engineering initiatives.
• Track category KPIs, sales performance and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
