Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in India seeks a plastics design engineer with 4-5 years of experience to design and develop plastic components for a range of products. You will work closely with R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers to optimize designs, ensure manufacturability, and select materials suitable for injection molding.

The role requires proficiency in Creo or UG for 3D modeling, BOM management, and experience with DFM/DFA studies to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in product design and development of plastic parts.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, material behavior, and tooling.
• Proficiency in Creo or UG for 3D modeling and detailing.
• Experience in BOM management and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plastic components for various products with manufacturability and cost-efficiency in mind.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing and suppliers to refine and optimize designs.
• Ensure design feasibility leveraging injection molding knowledge and material selection.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) with accuracy.
• Use 3D CAD software (Creo/UG) for part design, assembly and drawings.
• Conduct DFM and DFA studies to improve quality and efficiency.
