Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking an experienced design engineer to develop plastic components for various products. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and reliable BOM management.

Proficiency in Creo or UG is required to create accurate 3D models and drawings. The role emphasizes DFM/DFA studies to enhance product quality and streamline production, with a strong focus on material selection and tooling knowledge.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in design and development of plastic parts.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes and tooling.
• Proficiency in Creo or UG for 3D modeling and detailing.
• Experience in BOM management and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop plastic components for products, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers to optimize designs.
• Apply injection molding knowledge to ensure feasible designs and material selection.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) with accuracy.
• Use 3D CAD (Creo/UG) for part design, assembly, and drawings.
• Conduct DFM and DFA studies to improve quality and efficiency.

• Design and develop plastic components for various products, ensuring manufacturability and cost-eAectiveness.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers, to develop and optimize designs.
• Ensure design feasibility by applying knowledge of injection molding techniques and material selection.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) with accuracy and consistency.
• Utilize 3D CAD software (Creo/UG) for part design, assembly, and technical drawings.
• Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) studies to enhance product quality and eAficiency.

Key Requirements

• 4-5 years of experience in product design and development of plastic parts.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, material behavior, and tooling.
• Proficiency in Creo or UG (Unigraphics/NX) for 3D modeling and detailing.
