Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Pune, India is seeking a product design engineer to design and develop plastic parts, ensuring manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. You'll collaborate with R&D, manufacturing and suppliers to optimize designs and ensure design feasibility using injection molding and material selection.

Proficiency in Creo or UG for 3D modeling, BOM management, and engineering documentation is required. You will conduct DFM and DFA studies to improve product quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in product design and development of plastic parts.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, material behavior, and tooling.
• Proficiency in Creo or UG (Unigraphics/NX) for 3D modeling and detailing.
• Experience in BOM management and engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop plastic components for various products, ensuring manufacturability and cost-eAectiveness.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, and suppliers, to develop and optimize designs.
• Ensure design feasibility by applying knowledge of injection molding techniques and material selection.
• Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) with accuracy and consistency.
• Utilize 3D CAD software (Creo/UG) for part design, assembly, and technical drawings.
• Conduct DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) studies to enhance product quality and eAficiency.
