Responsibilities

• Procure construction materials including cement, steel, hardware and electrical items.
• Identify, develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate terms, and prepare statements.
• Generate Purchase Orders and ensure timely material delivery.
• Coordinate with project sites for material requirements and dispatch schedules.
• Monitor vendor performance for quality, delivery and pricing.
• Maintain procurement records and vendor database.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies.
• Resolve supply-related issues with vendors and internal teams.
• Assist in cost optimization through effective sourcing.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior Procurement Executive with 2 to 4 years of experience in procurement and vendor management for construction materials. The candidate should have hands‑on experience in sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials such as cement, steel, hardware, electrical items, mechanical spares, consumables, and general purchase items. The role is based at our Head Office and requires close coordination with project sites and vendors.

Key Responsibilities

• Procure construction materials including cement, steel, hardware, electrical items, spares, and consumables.
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, compare prices, negotiate commercial terms, and prepare comparative statements.
• Generate Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely material delivery.
• Coordinate with project sites for material requirements and dispatch schedules.
• Monitor vendor performance with respect to quality, delivery, and pricing.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor database, and purchase documentation.
• Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Resolve supply‑related issues by coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
• Assist in cost optimization through effective sourcing and vendor negotiations.

Required Skills

• Experience in procurement of cement, steel, hardware, spares, electrical, and general purchase items.
• Knowledge of vendor sourcing, RFQ/RFP process, and purchase order management.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• ERP procurement module knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple project sites and vendors.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 2to4 years of procurement experience in the Construction, Infrastructure, EPC, or Engineering industry.
• Good understanding of construction materials and vendor networks.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with a 15-day notice period will be preferred.
