Job summary

Aelius Consultants Delhi is seeking a procurement professional to manage BOM stock, onboard vendors, and ensure compliance with ALMM and BIS for solar components. You will negotiate terms, optimise BOMs for cost and quality, and build backup vendor relationships to de-risk supply.

Ideal candidates have 2-5 years in procurement, strong Excel/ERP skills, and a background in solar or EPC industries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, SCM or Business Administration.
• 2-5 years of experience in procurement or vendor management, preferably in solar, electrical or EPC industries.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Working knowledge of GST and vendor compliance documentation.
• Proficiency in Excel and ERP/procurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate stock levels of all BOM items, including modules, inverters, mounting structures and balance-of-system components, to support the production ramp.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard reliable vendors, with a current focus on the confirmed Assembly-route vendor shortlist.
• Verify ALMM List-I/List-II compliance and BIS certification for all sourced components before vendor onboarding.
• Negotiate favourable payment terms, pricing and volume-based rate contracts.
• Continuously optimise the BOM for cost and quality.
• Track vendor performance and maintain backup/secondary vendor relationships to de-risk supply.

Proficiency in solar design software (PVSyst, Autocad) and other relevant tools

Strong project planning abilities

• Background in electrical engineering
• Must have exp in ground mounted open access solar projects(min 4- 5 MW projects).
• Must understand the Engineering designs, drawings, proficient in design software like (PVSyst, Autocad) etc.
