Job summary

Growth For Impact in Bengaluru invites an experienced Manager Purchasing to lead procurement for large ground mount solar projects. You will manage sourcing, vendor qualification, contracting, costing, logistics, and SAP-based order processing.

The role requires 12–15 years in direct purchasing, strong English communication, Excel proficiency, and a network of solar vendors. You will collaborate with pre-bid teams and ensure timely deliveries and compliance.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Source panels, transformers, BOS items for ground mount projects.
• Source transport services across India.
• Source services and O&M spares.
• Manage warehouse stock and requisitions.
• Identify and qualify potential vendors.
• Prepare quotes and negotiate offers.
• Create SAP purchase orders and track orders.
• Ensure GRN and payment documentation.
• Maintain records: warranties, BGs, invoices.
• Vendor statement reconciliations on a quarterly basis.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse staff.
• Maintain ISO documentation and MIS for orders and deliveries.

Job description

ROLE

• – Basic knowledge of sourcing following: Transformer, HT & LT panels up to 110KV including Power & Communication Cables and all other BOS items required for Ground mount projects
• – Ability to source Transport services across India
• – Sourcing of Services and O&M spares
• – Warehouse stock management and Control
• – Identify potential vendors for supply & services
• – Compare, evaluate and prepare quote comparison for offers from suppliers
• – Negotiate the offers received
• – Creation of Orders in SAP
• – Track orders and ensure timely delivery
• – Ensure GRN creation and submission of documents for payment
• – Documentation includes; Obtaining order acknowledgement, Warranty certificates, BGs and maintain their records
• – Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
• – Quarterly Re-conciliation of Vendor account statement
• – Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
• – Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
• – Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
• – ISO documentation requirement to be maintained
• – Maintain MIS of released orders, delivery status, payment status, warranty documents, Import documentation

REQUIREMENTS

• – Work experience as a Manager Purchasing role – 12 to 15 years of experience in direct roles in the Company
• – Good understanding of supply chain procedures
• – Hands-on experience with purchasing all types of Products and Services for a Large Ground mount solar project
• – Good network of Vendors/Identifying/Sourcing for Installation services/ Vendor approval process
• – Knowledge of basic Procurement and Contracts
• – Knowledge and hands-on experience in Costing of Civil works, Electrical works, costing of key electrical products
• – Domestic Logistics management
• – Team work skills
• – Closely working with Pre-bid team to provide required inputs on costing
• – Good communication skills in English
• – Advanced knowledge to work in MS Excel
• – Knowledge to work in SAP
• – Qualification: Engineering – Preferred Electrical/Electronics, optional Mechanical with relevant experience
