Job summary

AMPIN Energy Transition is seeking an experienced Procurement professional to manage end-to-end procurement for utility-scale renewable energy projects, including Solar PV, BESS, and related BoS, Substation, Transmission and Civil works. You will drive strategic sourcing, supplier development, and commercial negotiations, ensuring timely material delivery in line with project budgets and milestones.

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in renewable energy procurement and strong ERP/SAP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) mandatory.
• 10+ years of procurement experience, preferably in Renewable Energy, Solar or Power Infrastructure.
• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations and contract management.
• BESS / Battery procurement experience will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations and procurement practices.
• ERP/SAP procurement systems and MS Office (Excel/PowerPoint) proficiency.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for Solar, BESS, and renewable energy packages including modules, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, cables, SCADA, trackers, substation, transmission and civil works.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers; negotiate pricing, delivery terms, warranties and contractual conditions.
• Drive cost savings through competitive sourcing, market benchmarking, value engineering.
• Manage supplier performance, contracts, amendments, claims, variations, warranties, LDs and BGs.
• Ensure materials meet approved specifications, quality standards and statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, Construction, Finance, Legal and Quality teams to support timely project execution.
• Track market trends, commodity prices, technology developments and supplier capabilities.

We are seeking an experienced Procurement professional to manage end-to-end procurement for utility-scale renewable energy projects, primarily Solar PV, BESS and associated BoS, Substation, Transmission and Civil packages.

The role will drive strategic sourcing, supplier development, commercial negotiations, contract management, cost optimisation and timely material delivery in line with project budgets and execution milestones. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of renewable energy supply chains, solar project components, electrical systems and EPC/BoS procurement.

How you will contribute:

• Strategic Procurement: Lead procurement for Solar, BESS and renewable energy packages including Modules, Inverters, Transformers, HT/LT Panels, Cables, SCADA, Trackers/MMT, Substation, Transmission and Civil works.


• Sourcing & Negotiation: Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers; negotiate pricing, delivery, payment terms, warranties and contractual conditions.


• Cost Optimisation: Drive cost savings through competitive sourcing, market benchmarking, value engineering and commercial optimisation.


• Supplier & Contract Management: Manage supplier performance, contracts, amendments, claims, variations, warranties, LDs and BGs.


• Quality & Compliance: Ensure materials meet approved specifications, quality standards and applicable statutory requirements.


• Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, Construction, Finance, Legal and Quality teams to resolve issues and support timely project execution.


• Market Intelligence: Track market trends, commodity prices, technology developments and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities and mitigate supply-chain risks.

Ideal Skills for this role include:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Civil) is mandatory.


• 10+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in Renewable Energy, Solar or Power Infrastructure.


• Strong experience in strategic sourcing, commercial negotiations and contract management.


• BESS / Battery procurement experience will be an added advantage. Strong commercial, analytical, negotiation and supplier-management skills.


• Knowledge of relevant industry standards, regulations and procurement practices.


• Proficiency in ERP/SAP procurement systems and MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
