Talent Hr Networks is seeking a Procurement Manager Mining focused on international (import) procurement for mining projects in Mumbai. The role manages end-to-end procurement, aligns with India and Africa stakeholders, and ensures timely material availability while optimizing costs and complying with regulations.

The candidate should have 10–12 years of project procurement and mining experience, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and experience with Oracle ERP.

Qualifications

• Professional certifications in Supply Chain Management or Procurement will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Execute the complete project procurement cycle from PR to PO and order closure.
• Source Mechanical, Electrical & other Mining materials from international and domestic suppliers.
• Manage import procurement activities, including supplier coordination, negotiations, shipping docs, and customs support.
• Conduct techno-commercial evaluations with Engineering, Projects, and User Departments.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery, payment terms, warranties and other commercial conditions.
• Monitor and expedite critical purchase orders to avoid downtime.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and import regulations.
• Coordinate with Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, Inspection agencies, and End Users in India and Africa.
• Develop supplier relationships and identify cost optimization opportunities.
• Maintain procurement records and generate reports using Oracle ERP.

Job Purpose

The Procurement Executive will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement of Mining Materials for the upcoming projects and expansions at client plant. The role focuses primarily on international (import) procurement while also managing local sourcing from Indian vendors. The incumbent will ensure timely material availability, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with stakeholders across India and Africa.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute the complete project procurement cycle from Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) and order closure.
• Source Mechanical, Electrical & other Mining related materials from international and domestic suppliers.
• Manage import procurement activities, including supplier coordination, commercial negotiations, shipping documentation, logistics follow-up, and customs clearance support.
• Conduct techno-commercial evaluations in collaboration with Engineering, Projects, and User Departments.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, warranties, and other commercial conditions to achieve the best value.
• Monitor and expedite critical purchase orders to ensure timely delivery and avoid plant downtime.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company procurement policies, ethical standards, and applicable import regulations.
• Coordinate closely with Logistics, Warehouse, Finance, Inspection agencies, and End Users in both India and Africa
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers while identifying opportunities for supplier development and cost optimization.
• Maintain accurate procurement records and generate periodic reports using Oracle ERP.

Experience

• 10–12 years of relevant project procurement / Mining experience
• Strong experience in international sourcing and import procurement.
