Job summary

Man Industries (India) Limited, a diversified group in LSAW, HSAW, ERW line pipes, invites experienced procurement and contracts professionals to lead its Contracts & Procurement function in Mumbai. The role supports new projects and plant expansion, empanels sources, negotiates bids, and aligns procurement with project goals.

You will develop procurement strategies, monitor market trends, manage supplier relationships, ensure compliance, drive continuous improvement, and lead a team.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of experience in procurement and contracts.
• Preferably in manufacturing or EPC industry.
• BE/B.Tech and MBA are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Contracts & Procurement function to support new projects and plant expansion activities.
• Empanel new sources, vendors, contractors and create prequalification criteria.
• Float enquiries, evaluate and negotiate bids and contracts with suppliers, contractors, and vendors.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to align contracts with project goals and timelines.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance and industry developments.
• Establish strong relationships with key suppliers for a reliable supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and company requirements in procurement processes.
• Drive continuous improvement to enhance procurement efficiency and reduce costs.
• Strengthen systems and MIS for a centralized procurement system.
• Manage risk associated with contracts and procurement, including dispute resolution.
• Lead a team of professionals in Contracts & Purchase department, providing guidance and development.

We are strengthening Contracts & Procurement function in Mumbai.

Role & responsibilities

• You will Lead and manage the Contracts & Procurement function to support new projects and plant expansion activities.
• Empanel new sources / vendors / contractors / create prequalification criteria etc.
• Float enquiries, evaluate and negotiate bids and contracts with suppliers, contractors, and vendors for competitive cost, quality and delivery terms and conditions.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Collaborate with the Project Management team to ensure that contracts and procurement align with project goals and timelines.
• Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to inform procurement decisions.
• Establish strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and company requirements in contracts and procurement processes.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency and reduce costs.
• Strengthen systems/ processes and MIS for a centralised towards a procurement system
• Manage risk associated with contracts and procurement, including dispute resolution and contract termination.
• Lead a team of professionals in the Contracts & Purchase department, providing guidance, training, and development.

Preferred candidate profile

• BE/ B.Tech + Masters degree/ MBA will be added advantage
• 18+ years of experience in Procurement and Contracts
• Preferably in the manufacturing / EPC industry.

• Proven experience in managing large-scale contracts and complex procurement processes. Including Project related contracts and procurement.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to develop strategic partnerships with suppliers and vendors.
