Role & responsibilities

The Procurement Lead for MRO & Services is responsible for driving the strategic sourcing, contract management and purchasing execution for all plant maintenance, repair, operational supplies and specialized services. This role is critical to ensuring zero plant downtime due to material stock-outs, while optimizing working capital, negotiating high-value service contracts and maintaining rigorous compliance standards.

Preferred candidate profile

1. 1. Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
2. a. Develop and execute sourcing strategies for critical cement plant MRO categories, including heavy machinery spares (kilns, crushers, mills), refractory materials, grinding media, conveyor systems, bearings, lubricants, and electrical/instrumentation components.
3. b.To drive cost-reduction initiatives without compromising on quality or plant reliability.
4. 2. Services Procurement & Contract Management
5. a.Lead the end-to-end tendering and contracting process for critical plant services, including annual shutdown maintenance contracts (AMC), civil works, logistics operations, and facility management.
6. b. Draft negotiate and finalize service level agreements (SLAs).

8. a. Identify vendors on Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) where alternate sourcing is viable.
9. b. Implement a robust vendor evaluation framework based on OTIF (On-Time In-Full) delivery, quality consistency, and commercial competitiveness.
10. 4. Inventory & Working Capital Optimization
11. a. Partner with the Stores and Plant Maintenance teams to optimize min-max levels for critical/insurance spares and fast-moving consumables.
