Job summary

Luthra Group Company in India is seeking a Procurement Specialist to lead strategic sourcing across IT, MRO, logistics, and facilities management. You will drive supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely PO execution while optimizing total cost of ownership.

The ideal candidate has 3–7 years in procurement or strategic sourcing, a mechanical engineering background, and proven negotiation and analytical skills, plus hands-on ERP/SAP experience.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of procurement or strategic sourcing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong negotiation, problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Working knowledge of SAP or a major ERP system.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Strategic Sourcing: Lead the procurement lifecycle for categories, including but not limited to: IT, MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations), Logistics, Facilities Management, and Professional Services.
• Supplier Relations: Build, maintain, and manage strong relationships with key suppliers, focusing on performance, compliance, and long-term partnership.
• Negotiation & Contracts: Expertly source, evaluate, and negotiate contracts to achieve optimal terms, quality, and total cost of ownership (TCO).
• Operational Excellence: Oversee purchase order execution, monitor delivery timelines, track supplier performance KPIs, and manage inventory levels where applicable.
• Cost Optimization: Proactively identify and execute cost-saving initiatives and process improvements across the procurement function.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Bachelors degree Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience: 3 to 7 years of demonstrated experience in procurement, purchasing, or a strategic sourcing role.
• Skills: Proven track record of strong negotiation, complex problem-solving, and analytical capabilities.
• Technical Proficiency: Must have working experience and proficiency with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP ).
