Job summary

Shapoorji Pallonji Group is seeking a Procurement Lead to manage end-to-end procurement for Civil, MEP, Electrical and HVAC packages on construction projects in Bengaluru. You will drive cost optimization, ensure timely deliveries and contractual compliance, and coordinate with Design, Planning, Site and Finance teams.

The role requires 19+ years in procurement, strong negotiation and contract knowledge, ERP/SAP proficiency, and leadership to mentor a 6–10 person team.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil engineering is required.
• 19+ years of relevant procurement experience in construction.
• Experience across Civil, MEP, Electrical and HVAC procurement.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy for Civil, MEP, Electrical, HVAC procurement.
• Draft POs and contracts; ensure GST/TDS compliance.
• Mentor 6–10 person procurement team and align with project timelines.

Job Description : Procurement Lead

Department : Procurement

Experience: 19+ years

Purpose

Lead end-to-end procurement across Civil, MEP, Electrical, and HVAC packages for construction projects, ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery, and contractual compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive procurement strategy and cost optimization across Civil (RMC, steel, cement, shuttering, faade), MEP (firefighting, plumbing, BMS, fire alarm), Electrical (panels, transformers, DG sets, cabling), and HVAC (chillers, AHUs, VRF, ductwork) packages.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors/contractors/OEMs; maintain approved vendor lists.
• Draft and finalize POs, work orders, and contracts (LOI/LOA); ensure compliance on payment terms, BGs, GST/TDS.
• Align procurement with project timelines via close coordination with Design, Planning, Site, and Finance teams.
• Track budgets vs. actuals, drive value engineering, and report cost savings to leadership.
• Lead and mentor procurement team; implement SOPs, ERP/SAP systems, and MIS reporting.
• Handle variation orders, vendor disputes, and risk management.
• Handling Procurement Team of 6-10 People

Qualifications & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech (Civil)
• Proven experience procuring across all four packages Civil, MEP, Electrical, and HVAC.
• Strong negotiation, contract knowledge, and BOQ/drawing interpretation skills.
• Proficient in ERP/SAP and MS Excel; strong leadership and stakeholder management.
