Job summary

Deloitte Shared Services India is seeking a procurement and tendering professional to manage end-to-end procurement across MEP, infrastructure, and specialist packages for real estate development projects.

You will lead RFQ/RFP creation, bid evaluations, supplier negotiations, and contract awards while driving cost optimization and governance compliance across multiple projects. BE/BTech graduates with 4–8 years of relevant experience are favored.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in engineering or related field.
• 4–8 years of experience in Procurement, Tendering, Contract Management, or Strategic Sourcing.
• Experience in MEP, Infrastructure, Construction, Real Estate, or Project Procurement.
• Strong knowledge of procurement lifecycle management and tendering processes.
• Expertise in RFQ/RFP management, bid evaluation, and contract negotiations.
• Vendor management and supplier development experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage the complete procurement lifecycle from planning to tendering and contract award.
• Develop procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, budgets and timelines.
• Coordinate procurement across multiple projects ensuring governance compliance.
• Prepare RFQs, RFPs, tender documents, and technical/commercial requirements.
• Conduct commercial and technical bid evaluations with engineering and project teams.
• Lead supplier discussions, tender clarifications, and contract negotiations.
• Drive cost optimization while maintaining quality and delivery requirements.
• Build strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, and contractual commitments.
• Support budgeting, cost analysis, benchmarking and procurement reporting.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Projects, Commercial, Finance and Legal teams.
• Identify and mitigate procurement and commercial risks throughout the lifecycle.

Your work profile

Procurement & Tendering, youll play a critical role in managing end-to-end procurement and tendering activities for MEP, infrastructure, and specialist packages across real estate development projects.

• Manage the complete procurement lifecycle, from procurement planning through tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, and contract award.


• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project objectives, budgets, timelines, and business requirements.


• Coordinate procurement activities across multiple projects while ensuring compliance with organizational procurement policies and governance standards.


• Prepare RFQs, RFPs, tender documents, scope of work, technical specifications, and commercial requirements.


• Conduct commercial and technical evaluation of bids in collaboration with engineering, project, and commercial teams.


• Lead supplier discussions, tender clarifications, and contract negotiations to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.


• Drive value engineering and cost optimization initiatives while maintaining quality, technical, and project delivery requirements.


• Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and service providers.


• Monitor supplier performance, delivery schedules, contractual compliance, and commercial commitments.


• Support budgeting, cost analysis, benchmarking, and procurement reporting activities.


• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, Projects, Commercial, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure seamless project execution.


• Identify and mitigate procurement and commercial risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Key skills required

• Education : BE/ BTech


• 4-8 years of experience in Procurement, Tendering, Contract Management, or Strategic Sourcing.


• Experience in MEP, Infrastructure, Construction, Real Estate, or Project Procurement.


• Strong knowledge of procurement lifecycle management, sourcing strategies, and tendering processes.


• Expertise in RFQ/RFP management, bid evaluation, vendor selection, and contract negotiations.


• Experience in Vendor Management, Supplier Development, and Supplier Relationship Management.


• Strong commercial acumen with exposure to cost optimization, value engineering, and spend analysis.


• Knowledge of procurement compliance, governance frameworks, and contracting practices.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and procurement reporting tools.


• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.


• Ability to manage multiple procurement packages and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
