Job summary

Solarworld Energy Solutions is seeking a Procurement Engineer at head office Noida for a Senior Engineer/Assistant Manager role with 3–6 years in procurement for Solar EPC/BESS projects. You will manage end-to-end procurement, develop supplier relationships, float RFQs, and lead price and commercial negotiations.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Finance and Stores; procure transformers, switchgear, inverters, cables and protection systems; maintain PO/WO, and drive cost

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of procurement experience in Solar EPC or related electrical projects.
• Strong vendor negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
• Good understanding of BOQ/BOM, technical specs and ERP usage.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for Solar EPC & BESS projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Float RFQs, evaluate quotations, and prepare techno-commercial comparisons.
• Lead price and commercial negotiations including payment, delivery and warranties.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Finance and Stores.
• Procure major electrical equipment (Transformers, HT/LT Panels, RMUs, Switchgear, Inverters/PCS, Cables, SCADA).
• Prepare/manage Purchase Orders and Work Orders; monitor fabrication and delivery.
• Resolve vendor issues while identifying cost-saving and alternate sourcing options.
• Maintain procurement MIS, vendor records, PO/delivery trackers; MS Excel/ERP proficiency.

Role & responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement for Solar EPC & BESS projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Float RFQs, evaluate quotations, and prepare technical/techno-commercial comparisons.
• Lead price and commercial negotiations, including payment, delivery, warranty, and other terms.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, QA/QC, Finance, and Stores for procurement requirements.
• Procure major electrical equipment such as Transformers, HT/LT Panels, RMUs, Switchgear, Inverters/PCS, Cables, SCADA, and Protection & Metering systems.
• Prepare/manage Purchase Orders and Work Orders and monitor manufacturing, inspection, dispatch, and delivery.
• Resolve vendor quality, delivery, documentation, and commercial issues, while identifying cost-saving and alternate sourcing opportunities.
• Maintain procurement MIS, vendor records, PO/delivery trackers, with strong knowledge of BOQ/BOM, technical specifications, MS Excel, and ERP systems.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Tech / B.E. / Diploma Electrical / EEE.
• 3-6 years of experience in Procurement/Purchase.
• Experience in Solar EPC, Renewable Energy, Electrical EPC, Power, or Infrastructure preferred.
• Strong experience in electrical procurement and vendor negotiations is required.
