Job summary

Megha Engineering And Infrastructure in Hyderabad seeks an experienced SCM/Procurement professional to manage procurement for EHV Transmission Line and Substation projects. You will handle RFQs, techno-commercial evaluation, and vendor development to ensure timely material delivery.

The ideal candidate has BE/B.Tech in Electrical, 5–10 years in SCM for EHV projects, strong negotiations, and proficiency in ERP/SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical discipline.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in SCM/Procurement for EHV Transmission Line and Substation Projects.
• Good knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and commercial negotiations.
• Proficiency in ERP/SAP and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Floating RFQs (Request for Quotations) to approved vendors and suppliers.
• Obtaining quotations and carrying out techno-commercial evaluation of offers.
• Preparation of comparative statements (CS) for management approval.
• Identifying and developing new vendors for project materials and services.
• Conducting vendor evaluation and monitoring vendor performance.
• Negotiating prices, delivery schedules, payment terms, and other commercial conditions.
• Preparing and issuing Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved procurement requirements.
• Coordinating with vendors for timely manufacturing, dispatch, and delivery of materials.
• Following up and expediting critical materials to meet project schedules.
• Coordinating with Project, Engineering, QA/QC, and Site Teams for procurement requirements.
• Ensuring timely availability of materials for EHV Transmission Line and Substation projects.
• Monitoring procurement progress and resolving supply-related issues.
• Maintaining procurement records, purchase documents, and vendor databases.
• Preparing procurement status reports, MIS reports, and material tracking reports.
• Ensuring compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Supporting cost optimization initiatives through effective sourcing and negotiations.
• Assisting in contract finalization and commercial documentation with suppliers.
• Coordinating logistics and transportation for timely delivery of materials to project sites.
• Supporting audits and maintaining procurement-related documentation.

Preferred Industry Experience

• Power Transmission Lines & Substations (132kV, 220kV, 400kV, 765kV and above).
• Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Projects.
• Experience in procurement of transmission line materials, AIS/GIS substation equipment, electrical packages, and EPC projects.
• EPC Infrastructure Projects.
• Substation and Power Sector Procurement.

Preferred candidate profile
