Job summary

PSA Renewables – Powered by Purshotam is seeking a Junior Procurement Officer to support procurement and purchase activities for solar projects. You will coordinate vendors, manage quotations, prepare POs, track materials, and liaise between Head Office and project sites.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of procurement experience, a graduate degree (B.Com/BBA/Diploma or Engineering preferred), and strong MS Excel, English and Hindi communication. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in solar/renewable energy or infrastructure.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and procurement documentation.
• Good communication and coordination with multiple departments and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Assist in procurement of solar project materials, electrical items, civil materials, tools, consumables, and other project requirements.
• Identify and develop reliable vendors and suppliers.
• Obtain and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
• Prepare comparative statements and support vendor selection based on price, quality, delivery, and terms.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) as per company requirements.
• Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of materials at project sites.
• Track purchase orders, dispatches, deliveries, and pending materials.
• Coordinate with project, stores, accounts, and technical teams for procurement requirements.
• Maintain procurement records, vendor databases, quotations, POs, invoices, and supporting documents.
• Follow up on shortages, quality issues, delays, and replacement requirements.
• Assist in vendor evaluation and maintaining long-term supplier relationships.
• Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and competitive pricing.
• Travel to project sites and vendor locations as required.
• Ensure procurement activities are completed within approved budgets and timelines.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate in any discipline; B. Com, BBA, Diploma/Engineering candidates will be preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase, preferably in Solar, EPC, Renewable Energy, Infrastructure, Electrical, or Construction industries.
• Basic understanding of solar project materials and electrical/civil items will be an advantage.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and basic procurement documentation.
• Good communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and vendors.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and vendor locations as required.
• Hindi and English communication skills are required.
