Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Purchase Manager role based in Jaipur. The Purchase Manager will oversee the end-to-end procurement cycle for solar EPC projects, including vendor identification, evaluation, and selection for materials such as PV modules, inverters, structures, and electrical components. The role involves negotiating contracts, managing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely availability of materials within budget and quality standards. The Purchase Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, project management, and finance teams to align procurement with project schedules and technical specifications. Day-to-day responsibilities also include maintaining vendor databases, monitoring market prices, optimizing inventory levels, and ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.

Qualifications

• Procurement and supply chain skills, including vendor sourcing, negotiation, purchase order management, and contract administration.
• Project coordination and planning abilities to align purchasing activities with EPC project timelines, technical requirements, and cost targets.
• Analytical and financial skills, such as cost analysis, budgeting, price benchmarking, and basic financial reporting related to purchases.
• Knowledge of solar PV components, EPC processes, and industry standards, with the ability to understand technical specifications and quality requirements.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders, along with proficiency in MS Office and ERP or procurement software.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field; prior experience in procurement within solar, power, or construction sectors is highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated ability to work on-site, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high levels of accuracy and accountability in a fast-paced environment.
