Job summary

Ssmatrix Consultancy is seeking a Process Planner in Tamil Nadu to lead new part development aligned with customer prints. The role requires strong NX CAM proficiency, experience in 3- and 5-axis milling, and hands-on CNC turning/milling skills.

You will coordinate tooling, fixtures, and supplier activities, ensuring QMS and 5S compliance. Role involves preparing tooling lists, fixture drawings, and coordinating with vendors for outsource machining and heat treatment, with First Article

Qualifications

• Experience in process planning for new parts.
• Strong knowledge of engineering drawings.
• Proficient with NX CAM for programming new parts.
• Hands-on CNC turning/milling experience.
• Familiarity with QMS, safety and 5S.

Responsibilities

• New part development as per customer print.
• Preparation and release of tooling list and fixture drawings.
• Process planning for new parts.
• CAD/CAM NC program generation for 3-axis & 5-axis milling.
• Coordinate with vendor management for outsource machining and surface/heat treatment.
• First article inspection coordination with customer.
• Transfer parts to manufacturing ensuring smooth processing.

Role & responsibilities

• New Part Development as per Customer Print.
• Well knowledge in engineering drawing.
• Good knowledge in CNC machining process.
• Project management for new part development meeting the customer requirement.
• Preparation and release of Tooling list and fixture drawing for New parts
• Process planning for new parts.
• Well knowledge in tools and fixture design.
• CAD/CAM NC program generation for new parts For 3axis & 5 Axis milling
• Hands on skill in Turning and milling machines
• Deciding equipment for inspecting the parts
• Co-ordinate with vendor management team for outsource machining
• Co-ordinate with vendor management team for surface Treatment and Heat treatment
• Conducting sub-assemblies and assemblies
• Co-ordinate for conducting First Article inspection and getting approved from Customer
• Co-ordinate for new process establishment and qualification to customer at supplier end as well as in house.
• Problem Solving during part development
• Transfer of parts developed to Manufacturing team and ensure the smooth processing
• QMS, safety & 5S compliance.
