Joscotec Engineering Services in Bengaluru is seeking a skilled machining process engineer responsible for developing and optimizing machining sequences and manufacturing process plans for mechanical components.

You will analyze engineering drawings, select machining operations, determine operation sequences, and ensure parts meet dimensional, geometric, and surface finish requirements while achieving production targets.

• Expertise in developing machining sequences and routing for mechanical parts.
• Ability to interpret 2D drawings and 3D models with GD&T.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing tolerances and surface finishes.
• Experience with process documentation and routing preparation.

Job Summary

Responsible for developing and optimizing machining sequences and manufacturing process plans for mechanical components. The role involves analyzing engineering drawings, selecting appropriate machining operations, determining operation sequences, and ensuring components meet dimensional, geometric, and surface finish requirements while achieving production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop machining process plans and operation sequences for mechanical components.
• Define the complete manufacturing route from raw material to the finished component.
• Determine suitable machining operations, including turning, milling, drilling, boring, grinding, Wire EDM, EDM sparking, and tapping.
• Interpret 2D engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, and component specifications.
• Analyze dimensional tolerances, GD&T, surface finish requirements, and critical-to-quality characteristics.
• Identify datum references, machining allowances, and critical dimensions.
• Coordinate with the production, quality and design teams.

Required Technical Skills
