Job summary

Sundaram Clayton (SCL) invites an experienced Mechanical/Tool and Die professional for Quality proving trials of PDC new product dies. The role requires executing trials from design input provided by the simulation team and reducing rejection levels in line with policy, while ensuring readiness of facilities before proving.

The candidate will analyse casting rejections, prepare trial reports for each stage, and drive cost reductions by shortening cycle times and boosting yield in die casting.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical/Tool and Die making or BE Mechanical.
• 5 to 12 years of experience.
• Experience in quality proving trials and die casting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Quality proving trial of PDC new product dies.
• Run trials based on input from design simulation team and reduce rejection levels per company policy.
• Ensure facilities readiness for new product dies before Quality proving.
• Review machining casting rejections and analyze root causes; implement actions.
• Prepare trial reports for each Quality proving stage.
• Implement cost reduction projects by reducing cycle time and yield improvement.
• PPAP Document preparation Of PFC, Control plan, Operation standard, PPS & DTS Die inspection as per the NPD checklist prior to die loading plan.
• Implementation of process control room.
• Data analysis and defect correlation with respect to process parameters; implement technology projects to improve Value Addition in the die casting process.
