Job summary

Bharat Forge in Tirupati is seeking a skilled professional to drive die casting design, tooling, and process development. You will manage APQP/PPAP documentation, coordinate with customers, and ensure timely tool plans and die running SOPs.

Responsibilities include simulations, rejection control, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve high-quality casting outcomes and efficient production handovers.

Qualifications

• Die Casting knowledge is required.
• Tool design experience is essential.
• Familiar with APQP and PPAP processes.
• Experience establishing HPDC processes and process controls.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Understanding of IATF standards beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Prepare / Ensure product design, tool design & simulation to achieve required casting equality.
• Establish HPDC process, process controls and handover to production along with die running SOP.
• Prepare documents for product development activity including APQP & PPAP.
• Maintain all project APQP & PPAP documents in a systematic manner.
• Access customers according to respective customer standards.
• Prepare tool manufacturing time plan to meet BFL requirements & lead times.
• Initiate rejection control projects and establish process with CFT.
• Run simulations as planned to achieve casting quality on design fronts.
• Generate VA/VE ideas during product design finalization with customer.
• Prepare die running SOP and hand over to production.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Prepare / Ensure Product Design, Tool Design & Simulation to achieve required casting equality
• Establish HPDC Process, process controls and handover to production along with die running SOP
• Preparing documents for product development activity including APQP & PPAP
• Maintain all project wise APQP & PPAP documents in a systematic manner
• Access customers readily available as per the respective customer standards
• Prepare tool manufacturing time plan to meet BFL requirements & lead time agreed with Customer
• Initiate rejection control projects and establish process along with CFT
• Run simulations as per plan, ensure the actions in die design, product design and process design to achieve required casting quality
• Generate VA VE ideas during product design finalization with customer
• Prepare die running SOP, implement the controls and hand over to production
• Prepare product Design, Die Design, Manufacturing drawings in concurrence with CFT & Customers
• Take actions and ensure implementation of the actions for rejection control projects
• Follow up with external Design firms & Tool Rooms for design data updation
• Prepare documents for product development activity
• Maintain time plan & follow up with suppliers for daily updates & discuss the same in review meetings
• Prepare / Maintain all project wise APQP & PPAP documents in a systematic manner in Design server, in concurrence with CFT
• Arrange weekly project review meeting & discuss related issues with CFT
• Release drawing, data & Die running SOP to concerned departments
• Prepare RFQs & Die cost
