Job summary

Rajan Technocast is seeking an experienced NPD leader to drive new product development from concept to production in the investment casting domain. You will review drawings and specs, plan APQP/PPAP activities, and collaborate with Design, Tool Room, Production, Quality, PPC and Foundry teams to ensure successful launches.

The role requires hands-on experience with die, pattern and tooling development, strong project management and a proven ability to coordinate with customers for clarifications

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical, Production or Metallurgy Engineering.
• 8+ years of experience in NPD, preferably in Investment Casting/Foundry.
• Strong knowledge of Investment Casting and NPD processes.
• Hands-on experience in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan and Process Flow.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings, GD&T and customer specs.
• Experience in Die, Pattern and Tool Development and product trials.
• Excellent leadership and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage New Product Development (NPD) projects from customer drawing to successful production.
• Review customer drawings, specifications and technical requirements for feasibility.

• Identify and resolve development, tooling and casting-related issues through root cause analysis.
• Monitor quality, cost and delivery during product development.
• Ensure documentation, revision control and traceability of NPD activities.
• Lead continuous improvement and support cost reduction and process optimization.
• Guide and develop the NPD team to meet targets and customer expectations.

• Strong ability to read and interpret 2D/3D drawings, GD&T and customer specifications.
