Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Process Engineer/Designer to develop PDB, PFDs, and P&IDs, and to perform mass and energy balances for integrated process designs.

You will develop process simulations, equipment sizing, and hydraulic/utility calculations, collaborating with multiple engineering teams to meet project requirements and codes.

Qualifications

• Qualifications include degreed engineer with emphasis on process design and project execution.
• Experience in developing PFDs, P&IDs, datasheets, and sizing calculations is expected.
• Familiarity with process safety studies (HAZOP/SIL) and design reviews is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Process Design Basis (PDB), PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Perform mass and energy balance calculations.
• Develop process simulations using industry-standard software.
• Prepare equipment sizing calculations for pumps, heat exchangers, vessels, reactors, tanks, compressors.
• Conduct hydraulic analysis and utility consumption calculations.
• Prepare and review Process Datasheets, Design Reports, Line Lists, Equipment Lists, Utility Summaries, Valve Sizing Calculations, Relief System Design, and Operating Philosophy Documents.
• Support development of technical specifications and engineering standards.
• Interface with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical, Civil, and Procurement teams.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, SIL, and safety studies.
• Resolve technical queries from construction sites and clients.
• Ensure compliance with client specifications, project requirements, and international codes.
