Job summary

Marutee is seeking an experienced Process Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Bengaluru. The role focuses on process engineering design for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, and Power projects, delivering design deliverables and supporting multidisciplinary teams through the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of hands-on experience in process calculations, PFD/PID development, equipment design, and strong knowledge of international codes and standards.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in Process Engineering Design within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Chemical, or Power industries.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering principles and equipment design.
• Hands-on experience in process calculations.
• Hands-on experience in utility calculations.
• Experience delivering complete process engineering deliverables for multiple projects.
• Familiarity with international engineering standards and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) with Heat & Material Balance (HMB).
• Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Safety Relief Valve sizing (PSV).
• Pressure Vacuum Relief Valve (PVRV) calculations.
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as Equipment List, Line List, Utility Summary, Operating Philosophy, and Control Philosophy.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Civil, and Electrical disciplines during project execution.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and technical discussions.
• Handle complete process engineering deliverables for multiple projects from concept through detailed engineering.

The role involves developing process engineering deliverables, performing design calculations, preparing engineering documentation, and supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) with Heat & Material Balance (HMB).
• Develop and review Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Safety Relief Valve (PSV) sizing
• Pressure Vacuum Relief Valve (PVRV) calculations
• Prepare engineering deliverables such as:
• Equipment List
• Line List
• Utility Summary
• Operating Philosophy
• Control Philosophy
• Support process optimization and ensure compliance with project specifications, engineering standards, and applicable industry codes.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Civil, and Electrical disciplines during project execution.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOP, and technical discussions where required.
• Handle complete process engineering deliverables for multiple projects from concept through detailed engineering.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–10 years of experience in Process Engineering Design within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Chemical, or Power industries.
• Strong knowledge of process engineering principles and equipment design.
• Hands-on experience in:
• Process calculations
• Utility calculations
• Process documentation
• Experience in executing complete process engineering deliverables for at least 2–3 engineering projects.
• Good understanding of international engineering standards and industry best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
