Job summary

UPL Limited is seeking a Chemical Engineer with 4+ years of experience in detail engineering. You will work on process design activities, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and coordinate with process leads and engineering consultants to prepare CAPEX estimates and deliverables such as PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment layouts.

The role involves reviewing equipment GA, interfacing with vendors, and supporting pre-commissioning and handover documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Chemical Engineering or equivalent with relevant domain expertise.

Role & responsibilities

• Working on BFD & Detail engineering design complied with project requirement in consultation with process lead/Engineering consultant.
• Prepare capex in consultation with process lead and project manager.
• Prepare/Review all process engineering deliverables developed by detailed engineering consultant, e.g. PDS, P&ID's, MB, EB, Hydraulic calc, Equipment layout, Equipment sizing, etc.& arrange and provide necessary inputs to other stack holder (Instrument, Mechanical etc)
• Review Equipment GA
• Work in compliance with all safety rules & regulations.
• Resolve queries related to process / piping / equipment layout of execution team during project execution.
• Having Knowledge of Technical & formulation Setup.
• Prepare / review TCS of all equipment's.
• Project pre commissioning & commissioning.
• Prepare project handover documents including As built documents.

Specific Skills

1. Chemical Engineering with minimum 4+ years of experience in carrying out Detail Engineering
2. Exposure on troubleshooting & Commissioning of plant.
3. Process Engineering calculations like – Line Sizing, Valve sizing, PSV sizing and hydraulic calculations.
4. Preparation, checking and finalization of PFDs and P&IDs.
5. Interface with vendors, consultants, and site execution teams.
