Job summary

Cadence Design Systems in Bangalore is seeking a Principal Design Engineer in Layout Design with 8-11 years of experience to own high-speed IP layouts and analog macros.

You will work with cross-functional teams across circuits, digital, packaging and foundry to deliver reliable IPs, perform full-spectrum verifications including DRC/LVS, and mentor a team of engineers.

The role requires hands-on layout across nodes and strong communication.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech/ME/MS/MTech in Electrical/Electronic or equivalent is required.
• Hands-on layout experience with high-speed IPs (SerDes, DDR, PCIe, etc.).
• Experience with analog macros, opamps, bandgaps, data converters, LDOs and PLLs.
• Strong Verifications experience: DRC/LVS and reliability checks.
• Excellent communication and ability to lead a small team.

Responsibilities

• Custom layout design for next-gen high-speed IPs and analog blocks.
• Perform full-spectrum verifications, DRC, LVS, aging checks as per foundry guidelines.
• Collaborate with circuit-design, digital, packaging and foundry teams.
• Lead and guide a team of engineers towards IP delivery.
