Job summary

High Peak Global Maritime is seeking a Freight Pricing Analyst to analyze and negotiate rates for Air and Ocean Freight, coordinate with sales and operations, and ensure competitive pricing across trade lanes.

The role involves preparing quotations, monitoring market trends, maintaining pricing databases, and supporting RFQs and tenders to drive profitability and growth.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and negotiate competitive freight rates with shipping lines, co-loaders, transporters, and overseas agents.
• Prepare and share quotations for Air Freight, Ocean Freight (FCL/LCL), and other logistics services.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and pricing teams to provide accurate and competitive rates to customers.
• Monitor market trends, freight rate fluctuations, competitor pricing, and industry developments.
• Maintain updated freight rate sheets, pricing databases, customer tariffs, and trade lane information.
• Support the sales team in RFQs, tenders, spot rate requests, and customer rate negotiations.
• Analyze sales performance, revenue, gross profit (GP), shipment volumes, and customer profitability.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports, sales reports, pricing analysis, and business performance dashboards.
• Track quotations, follow-ups, conversion ratios, and lost business opportunities to improve sales performance.
• Evaluate freight costs and selling rates to ensure competitive pricing and healthy profit margins.
• Identify opportunities to improve pricing strategies, increase business volume, and maximize profitability.
• Assist in sales forecasting, budgeting, target tracking, and business performance analysis.
• Ensure timely rate updates and accuracy of pricing information in internal systems.
• Coordinate with finance and operations teams to resolve pricing discrepancies and support smooth shipment execution.
