Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is looking for a Press Die fitting and Trials Supervisor to work independently in die fitting and assembly. The ideal candidate will have 2-9 years of experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities include coordinating with machining and inspection, attending die trials, and ensuring workplace safety. Familiarity with press die manufacturing processes and proficiency in relevant software are essential. Experience with 4-wheeler OEMs is preferred.

Press Die fitting and Trials - Supervisor

Required Experience: 2 – 9 Years

Responsibilities

• Work independently in Press die fitting & assembly.
• Good hand skills of working on dies.
• Co-ordinate with machining, inspection and quality sections.
• Attend die trials at customer end and troubleshoot the problems faced.
• Work for the reduction of fitting hours & cost through Kaizen.
• Ensure the safety of workplace and do timely KYT, HHT.
• Monitor die fitting hours and time sheet data updation.
• Ensure proper 5s in the work area.
• Trial defects analysis and countermeasure planning through PDCA.
• Good drawing reading skills & knowledge of Fits & Tolerances.
• Knowledge of press dies manufacturing process and tool room machines.
• Knowledge of die materials and heat treatment.
• Knowledge of spotting & trial press machines.
• Knowledge of press die defects and countermeasures.
• Good analytical skills.
• Very good problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft office productivity software.
• Basic knowledge of CNC machines.
• Basic knowledge of design software - UG Nx.
• Effective verbal and written communication skill.

Preferred Organization

• 4-wheeler OEMs with Die/machining/press/mold experience: KIA, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, VW, M&M, Renault, Nissan, MG, TATA, Bajaj, Eicher, Force Motors, etc.
• Tier-1 suppliers of dies/press part/plastic parts for OEMs.
