Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is seeking an In-charge for Mould Fitting and Trials. The ideal candidate should have 2-7 years of experience in injection mould fitting and assembly, preferably for 4-wheeler OEMs. Responsibilities include independently managing fitting processes, monitoring quality, and ensuring safety standards. The role demands good analytical, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in drawing reading and Microsoft Office. Preferred experience includes manufacturing with KIA, Hyundai, and others. Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in mould fitting and assembly.
• Experience with 4-wheeler OEMs and mould development preferred.
• Good knowledge of fits and tolerances required.

Responsibilities

• Work independently in Injection mould fitting & assembly.
• Prepare weekly, monthly fitting schedule and check sheet updation.
• Monitor and strive to work for reduction of rework/rejection.
• Attend mould trials at customer end and troubleshoot problems.
• Ensure the safety of workplace and timely KYT, HHT.

Requirements

• Diploma: 10 – 17 Years
• B.Tech: 2 – 7 Years
• Diploma / B.Tech (Tool & Die / Mechanical Engineering) – Full Time

Job Responsibilities

• Work independently in Injection mould (Bumper/Instrument panel) fitting & assembly.
• Manpower allocation as per targets given.
• Make training plans for multiskilling of associates.
• Ensure the availability of parts before the start of die fitting activity.
• Co‑ordinate with procurement, machining, inspection and quality sections.
• Prepare weekly, monthly fitting schedule and check sheet updation.
• Monitor and strive to work for reduction of rework/rejection.
• Attend mould trials at customer end and troubleshoot the problems faced.
• Work for the reduction of fitting hours & cost through Kaizen.
• Ensure the safety of workplace and do timely KYT, HHT.
• Monitor fitting hours of the associates and time sheet data updation.
• Ensure proper 5S in the work area.

Technical / Functional

• Good drawing reading skills & knowledge of Fits & Tolerances.
• Knowledge of mould manufacturing process and tool room machines.
• Knowledge of die materials and heat treatment.
• Knowledge of moulding machines.
• Knowledge of moulding defects and countermeasures.
• Good analytical skills.
• Very good problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office productivity software.
• Basic knowledge of CNC milling, EDM machines.
• Basic knowledge of design software – UG NX.
• Effective verbal and written communication skill.

Preferred Organization

• 4‑wheeler OEMs with mould development/manufacturing experience: KIA, Hyundai, Toyota, Honda, VW, M&M, Renault, Nissan, MG, TATA, Bajaj, Eicher, Force Motors, etc.
• Tier‑1 bumper/ instrument panel injection mould manufacturers for OEMs.
