SHI Solutions India is seeking a Solution Architect Core DC in Pune to join our presales team. The role focuses on technical leadership, guiding customers through data center design with servers, storage, virtualization, and VDI.

You will collaborate with sales, deliver compelling technical solutions, and demonstrate PoCs while staying current with industry trends and competitive landscapes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field.
Proven presales/technical consulting experience in Core Data Center technologies.
Expertise in design/implementation with servers, storage, virtualization, and VDI.
Strong understanding of data center architectures (compute, storage, networking, virtualization).
Able to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in customer-facing roles with relationship-building and presentations.
Certifications such as VMware VCP, Citrix CC, or similar are advantageous.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with sales to capture customer requirements and align solutions with business goals.
Design and configure comprehensive DC solutions using HP/IBM/Dell servers, EMC/NetApp storage, VMware and Citrix virtualization.
Serve as primary technical contact for customers during presentations, workshops, and discussions.
Provide technical leadership through the sales cycle from discovery to proposal development.
Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept implementations to validate feasibility.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape in Core DC solutions.
Collaborate with product management and engineering to feedback customer requirements and roadmap input.
Prepare high-quality technical documentation including proposals and architecture diagrams.

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Presales Core Data Center Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in supporting our sales efforts by providing expert technical guidance and designing innovative solutions tailored to meet our clients' data centre needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with Core Data Center technologies, including servers, storage, virtualization, and VDI (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure). They should be adept at engaging with customers, understanding their requirements, and crafting compelling technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and develop technical solutions aligned with their business goals.
Design and configure comprehensive solutions utilizing HP, IBM, Dell servers, EMC, NetApp, and other storage solutions, along with VMware and Citrix virtualization technologies.
Act as the primary technical contact for customers, demonstrating deep expertise in Core Data Center technologies during presentations, workshops, and discussions.
Provide technical leadership throughout the sales cycle, from initial discovery through solution design and proposal development.
Conduct product demonstrations and proof-of-concept implementations to showcase the feasibility and benefits of proposed solutions.
Continuously stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape related to Core Data Center solutions.
Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to provide feedback on customer requirements and contribute to product roadmap discussions.
Prepare and deliver high-quality technical documentation, including proposals, architecture diagrams, and technical specifications.

Required Skills and Experience

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Proven experience (X years) in a presales or technical consulting role focused on Core Data Center technologies.
Expertise in designing and implementing solutions involving servers (HP/IBM/Dell), storage (EMC/NetApp), virtualization (VMware/Citrix), and VDI.
Strong understanding of data center architectures, including compute, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in customer-facing roles, with a track record of building strong relationships and delivering technical presentations.
Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Citrix Certified Associate (CCA), or similar, would be advantageous.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced certifications in relevant technologies (e.g., VMware Certified Advanced Professional, Citrix Certified Professional).
Experience with additional technologies such as Cisco UCS, Microsoft Hyper V.
Prior experience in a similar role within the IT services or solutions provider industry. Location and Travel Requirements: This position may require travel to client sites for meetings, presentations, and project implementations as necessary.
