We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Technical Lead to provide technical leadership across Salesforce implementations and enhancements, delivering measurable outcomes in release quality, platform performance, and delivery predictability. This role combines hands‑on development, solution design, and team leadership to build scalable, secure, and maintainable Salesforce capabilities aligned to business goals.
The Technical Lead is the primary technical authority for Salesforce, owning end‑to‑end delivery and decision rights for design approvals, engineering standards, and release readiness. Success typically includes producing a reference architecture, an integration and data strategy, and a delivery/quality playbook that accelerates teams while protecting production stability.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Architecture
- Own the technical design and architecture of Salesforce solutions across SalesCloud, Service Cloud, and platform customizations.
- Define and enforce Salesforce best practices, coding standards, and architectural guidelines.
- Review and approve solution designs, integrations, data models, and security approaches, partnering closely with Enterprise Architecture, Security, and Product to ensure alignment and compliance.
- Perform technical estimations and feasibility assessments.
- Own engineering governance: define design review checkpoints, enforce coding standards, and provide technical sign‑off on deployment readiness (performance, security, and quality gates).
- Design and develop complex functionalities using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and declarative tools.
- Build scalable triggers, batch jobs, asynchronous processes, and reusable components.
- Ensure solutions adhere to governor limits, performance, and security standards.
- Troubleshoot critical issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
Integrations & Data
- Lead Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms.
- Work with external systems and enterprise data platforms.
- Operate effectively in the expected landscape (single org or multi‑org, managed packages, large data volumes, and a mixed integration estate) and make trade‑offs explicit.
- Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers.
- Conduct code reviews, design walkthroughs, and knowledge‑sharing sessions.
- Support skill development and enforce delivery quality.
Agile Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA, and Architects.
- Translate business requirements into robust technical Salesforce solutions.
Testing, Release & DevOps
- Define and enforce a clear quality bar: meaningful unit tests, code review gates, static analysis, and a release checklist that protects stability beyond minimum coverage targets.
- Lead modern delivery practices using SFDX and version control with automated pipelines (e.g., scratch orgs/sandboxes, validation runs, and repeatable deployments) to reduce risk and cycle time.
- Provide production support with clear incident triage and root‑cause closure, including post‑deployment validation, monitoring/alerts, and remediation plans for recurring defects.
