Job summary

Prem Kumar is seeking a Production Planner/ PPC professional to manage and optimize production plans for injection moulding operations. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing aligned with customer orders.

Ideal candidates will have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Plastic Moulding, strong knowledge of injection moulding processes, and proven ability to schedule, monitor, and report on production performance under pressure.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Plastic M moulding is required.
• Candidates should understand production planning processes for PP injection moulding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer orders and business requirements.
• Reschedule production plans to accommodate urgent requirements while ensuring other commitments are met.
• Manage manpower allocation and monitor production efficiency to achieve production targets.
• Identify production issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Sales, Quality, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.
• Monitor production progress and ensure timely completion of production schedules.
• Maintain production reports, planning records, and other necessary documentation.
• Ensure optimum utilisation of manpower, machines, and materials.
• Report production status, challenges, and performance updates to the concerned senior.
• Maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate initiative, and implement continuous improvement practices.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 89 years of relevant experience in Production Planning and Control (PPC), preferably in PP injection moulding.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Plastic Moulding.
• Strong knowledge of injection moulding machines, moulds, and production planning processes.
• Experience in manpower planning, production scheduling, and monitoring production targets.
• Good problem-solving, troubleshooting, and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
• Strong organisational, communication, and reporting skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent production requirements.
