Job summary

Crescent Opto in Surat, Gujarat, seeks an experienced Production Manager for injection moulding operations. You will lead day-to-day production activities, set up mould parameters per product and quality requirements, and drive efficient mould changes to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

• Experience operating injection moulding machines and processes.
• Ability to set mould parameters per product and quality requirements.

• Proficient in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
• Knowledge of raw materials used in plastics (polymers, additives, regrinds, colorants).
• Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
• Plan and execute mould changes efficiently to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with maintenance for machine upkeep and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily/weekly/monthly production targets.
• Ensure optimum utilization of machines, manpower, and materials.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues to minimize rejection and wastage.
• Monitor and control raw material usage, ensuring zero loss and proper handling.
• Lead, train, and supervise machine operators and production staff.
• Allocate manpower effectively for smooth production flow.
• Motivate and guide downline workers to achieve set production goals.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and discipline on the shop floor.
• Ensure products meet customer quality standards and work with QA for in-process checks.
