Job summary

SOBHA Limited in Bangalore seeks an experienced Project Engineer Interior with extensive expertise in interior execution and project management. You will oversee end-to-end interior projects for premium residential/commercial spaces, ensuring adherence to designs, specifications, and safety standards.

The role requires managing contractors, coordinating multiple design and MEP teams, and delivering projects within tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Construction Management or related field.
• 15–20 years of relevant experience in interior execution/project engineering.
• Strong experience in high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, or large-scale interior projects.
• Excellent knowledge of interior finishing works, construction methodologies, and site execution.
• Strong understanding of drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project schedules.
• Experience in handling contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and vendors.
• Good knowledge of quality control and construction safety practices.
• Strong project planning, coordination, problem-solving, and team-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management/reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end interior project execution from site prep through handover.
• Plan, monitor, and control activities to meet approved schedules.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, design teams, MEP teams, contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Review drawings and ensure proper on-site execution.
• Monitor civil and interior finishing works (flooring, ceilings, partitions, finishes).
• Ensure works follow drawings, specs, BOQs, and quality standards.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors: manpower planning, productivity, work allocation.
• Track progress and prepare MIS/progress reports for management.
• Identify delays, issues, and site constraints; take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with procurement and commercial teams for timely materials.
• Conduct site inspections, ensure quality, safety, workmanship standards.
• Review samples, mock-ups, shop drawings, and method statements.
• Monitor quantities, material usage, and wastage.
• Ensure coordination between trades to avoid rework.
• Conduct snagging and final inspection before handover.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Project Engineer Interior with 1520 years of relevant experience in interior execution and project management. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in handling large-scale residential/commercial interior projects, site execution, contractor management, quality control, and project coordination.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that interior projects are executed as per approved designs, specifications, quality standards, timelines, and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise end-to-end interior project execution from site preparation through completion and handover.
• Plan, monitor, and control project activities to ensure timely completion within approved schedules.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, design teams, MEP teams, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Review and interpret architectural, interior, structural, and MEP drawings and ensure proper execution at site.
• Monitor civil and interior finishing works, including flooring, false ceiling, partitions, wall finishes, joinery, doors, painting, fixtures, and other finishing activities.
• Ensure all works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and quality standards.
• Manage contractors and subcontractors, including manpower planning, productivity monitoring, and work allocation.
• Track project progress and prepare regular MIS/progress reports for management.
• Identify project delays, technical issues, and site constraints and take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with procurement and commercial teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure adherence to quality, safety, and workmanship standards.
• Review material samples, mock-ups, shop drawings, and method statements before execution.
• Monitor project quantities, measurements, material consumption, and wastage.
• Ensure proper coordination between various trades to avoid rework and execution conflicts.
• Conduct snagging, de-snagging, testing, and final inspection before project handover.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, project specifications, statutory requirements, and HSE standards.
• Maintain proper project documentation, drawings, reports, and records.

Required Skills & Qualifications
