Job summary

Independent Recruitment Consultant (freelancer) in Chennai seeks an experienced PMO Governance professional to lead governance and reporting for FinTech projects, coordinating with Business, Product, Technology, QA and senior stakeholders to provide clear status updates and executive dashboards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in PMO/governance, strong Excel/PowerPoint, Jira, and experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments, including budgeting and forecast responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in PMO/Project Governance
• Experience with FinTech/Banking/Digital Lending projects preferred
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle, governance, RAID, dependencies, risks & issues
• Experience in SIT, UAT, release readiness, go-live and hypercare tracking
• Strong MIS, Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Power BI experience is an advantage
• Hands-on experience with Jira/project tracking tools
• Good understanding of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall
• Ability to prepare management dashboards, project status reports and executive presentations
• Comfortable coordinating with Business, Product, Technology, QA and senior stakeholders
• Exposure to budgeting, resource tracking, forecasting and variance analysis
• Understanding RBI/regulatory, audit, CMMI or ISO-driven governance is an advantage

• Maintain project governance and delivery trackers
• Track milestones, dependencies, risks, issues and action items
• Prepare weekly/monthly management dashboards
• Monitor project health, timelines and deliverables
• Coordinate SIT/UAT, release and go-live readiness
• Track defects, UAT sign-offs and open dependencies
• Support project reviews with senior management
• Maintain governance and audit documentation
• Track resource capacity, budget and forecast where applicable
• Drive follow-ups and closure of critical actions
